Which doctors are not getting the visits they need?

The gap analysis compares, for each doctor, the visits their tier needs with the visits planned and done, and names each kind of gap.

Open it from the report catalogue. The heading reads "N doctors · the date range". It uses the range bar like the dashboard.

The gaps

GapWhen a doctor has it
Not plannedNeeds visits, and none are planned
Under-coveredFewer visits done than needed. Needs visits per tier switched on
Over-coveredMore visits done than the need times 2 (the "over-visiting" factor)
KOLs not seenA KOL not seen for 30 days
Product not detailed to its areaThe doctor was seen, but a product whose therapy area matches the doctor's specialty was never detailed to them

The 2 and the 30 are company settings under Setup → Settings → Targets.

The screen

  • Group by: Field manager, Region, Tier or Specialty.
  • Tiles: Doctors (with how many have a gap), then one tile per kind of gap.
  • By field manager (or the grouping you chose): Doctors, Needed, Planned, Done, Done vs needed, and the count of each gap.
  • Doctors: Doctor, Tier, Institute, Field manager, Needed, Planned, Done, Last visit ("Never" when not seen), Gaps.

The Excel and PDF versions add a Plan vs actual by week section.

What to do about a gap

  • Not planned or under-covered: add the doctor to next month's plan (Plan your month).
  • Over-covered: move the visits to doctors short of theirs.
  • Product not detailed to its area: check the product's therapy area under Products and the doctor's specialty.
